iKidsCode curriculum recognizes that each community, organization, and school has specific values and beliefs that make them unique. Students will complete customized projects and rubrics that allow students to authentically explore the values within their community and organization. Examples include, but are not limited to: anti-bullying, personal responsibility, persistence, character development, and environmental preservation.
iKidsCode curriculum offers students an opportunity to transform their computer knowledge and take it from learning to use technology to skills that transform learning through technology. iKidsCode curriculum is systematically scaffolded to bring children through the levels of understanding and application. iKidsCode curriculum begins with visual based languages and move into more complex, syntax-based languages.
Courses are structured in grade-level bands (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8) but there is flexibility depending on the prior knowledge and development of the child.
